Opera on Tap – OKC has commissioned Jacob Frost to write an operatic short for their annual 10-Minute Opera Festival. Frost was one of five composers selected to write new pieces for the festival, which will take place this May.

Frost will write both the music and libretto for his opera, tentatively titled How Can I Keep From Singing?. The piece is a meta dark comedy that tells the story of a woman involuntary committed to an insane asylum because she believes she is a character in a music drama.
