Jacob Frost’s music will be featured in February’s production of Federico García Lorca’s Blood Wedding presented by University Theatre at the University of Oklahoma. Frost’s composition, commissioned by the OU Helmerich School of Drama, is a folk/flamenco-inspired setting of various portions of Lorca’s text, translated by Brendan Kennelly. Several musical numbers will be included throughout the play and performed by the cast. Frost is also serving as Music Director for the production, and has been working with the performers during rehearsals for the play this month.

University Theatre’s production of Blood Wedding premieres on Friday, February 7, 2020, 8:00 PM, at the Weitzenhoffer Theater in the University of Oklahoma Fine Arts Center. The show will run for two weekends, with performances at 8:00 PM on February 7, 8, 13, 14, and 15, and at 3:00 PM on February 9 and 16.
